Product Overview
The Automatic SS Donut Forming Line is a high-efficiency, versatile automated system designed to produce both ring-style (with a hole) and berliner (hole-less) donuts in a wide range of sizes. At its core, the line uses precision-engineered forming rolls, cutting mechanisms, and conveying systems to guarantee uniformity in shape, size, and appearance—critical for maintaining brand standards and customer satisfaction. Constructed with SUS304 stainless steel (food-safe and corrosion-resistant), it prioritizes hygiene and durability, supporting continuous production runs with minimal downtime.

Production Process – One Line, Two Product Types
Step 1: Dough Preparation
Yeast dough is mixed in a mixer. It may be given a short rest to relax gluten, then loaded into the line.
Step 2: Dough Feeding
The dough is loaded into the hopper.
Step 3: Multi‑Stage Sheeting
Dough passes through sheeting rollers to form a uniform slab.
Step 4: Dough Sheet Calibration
A precision calibrator ensures even thickness across the entire sheet width.
Step 5: Cutting – Select Your Cutter Plate
- For ring donuts: Install the ring‑shaped cutter plate. Each cutter simultaneously cuts the outer circle and removes the center hole, producing a donut ring and a separate “donut hole” (collected as by‑product).
- For berliners: Install the solid round cutter plate. Each cutter stamps out a solid dough disc with no center hole.
Step 6: Scrap Dough Separation & Recycling
After cutting, the dough lattice (if any) is automatically lifted and separated. The scrap can be recirculated to reduce waste.
Step 7: Spacing & Output
The cut donut blanks are transferred to a take‑away conveyor with adjustable spacing, then sent to your proofing room or automatic proofer for fermentation.
Seamlessly switches between ring-style and berliner donuts without major mechanical adjustments, eliminating the need for separate equipment for different product types.
Easily adjustable settings for donut diameter and thickness, allowing quick transitions between standard, mini, or jumbo sizes to match customer preferences or seasonal promotions.
Optimized for high-speed output, with a capacity range of 3000-9000pcs/h (adjustable based on donut size and complexity). This makes it ideal for operations handling large orders (e.g., supermarket chains or bulk export).
Streamlined conveying systems minimize dough handling time, ensuring a steady flow from forming to the next production stage (e.g., frying, glazing, or cooling), reducing bottlenecks and maximizing efficiency.
Precision forming rolls and cutting mechanisms ensure every donut has uniform shape, size, and weight—eliminating irregularities that lead to customer complaints or product waste.
SUS304 stainless steel construction resists rust and corrosion, while smooth surfaces and detachable components make cleaning fast and thorough, complying with global food safety standards (e.g., FDA, EU 10/2011).
Ideal for large-scale bakeries supplying donuts to grocery stores, convenience stores, and coffee shops. The line’s high capacity ensures timely fulfillment of bulk orders, while its versatility supports a diverse product portfolio.
Produce frozen, raw donut blanks (rings or berliners). Freeze immediately after cutting, then ship to bakeries that proof and fry from frozen.
Serve international markets with different preferences (e.g., rings in North America, berliners in Europe) using a single line. Quick changeover allows you to run multiple SKUs.
Capacity is directly related to donut size and style. Our team can provide a precise capacity estimate based on your specific product.
To tailor the line to your needs, please share:
Target donut size (diameter, thickness, and weight).
Desired production capacity (hourly or daily output goals).
Factory layout (available floor space, integration with existing equipment like fryers or glazers, and utility access).
